One Well Makes the Difference
The Africa Oasis Project (AOP) has been a great blessing to many people in East Africa. In January & February 2010, thirty wells were drilled in Tanzania. When AOP Team Members, Ron & Gloria Hanson first visited the village of Msongozi, they found the pastor’s young family, but not the pastor. His wife said that he was out looking for food, as they had nothing to eat. The nearest water supply was 6 kilometers away. As is true in so many villages in Africa, the children in this village were very sick. In partnership with the Tanzania Assemblies of God, AOP funded the drilling of a deep well in this needy village. Today, people from neighboring villages are traveling to the church in Msongozi village for clean water. Vegetables are being grown & the children are no longer sick from drinking contaminated water. Oh the difference one well can make.
